What is the difference between a vacuum insulated tank and a double-walled tank?
Both have an inner and an outer vessel; the difference is how the space between them is insulated. In a vacuum insulated tank that space is filled with perlite or multi-layer super insulation (MLI) and then evacuated, which all but eliminates heat conduction. At cryogenic temperatures that is how boil-off is kept low.
Which media do you build tanks and equipment for?
Storage and filling equipment for LNG, CNG and LPG; on the cryogenic side liquid nitrogen (LIN), liquid oxygen (LOX), argon (LAr) and carbon dioxide (CO₂). Ammonia (NH₃) applications are also among the media we work with.
How do you select the vaporiser type?
Atmospheric (finned) vaporisers draw heat from ambient air; because they consume no energy they suit intermittent and medium-flow duty. Water bath types are preferred where flow must be high and uninterrupted and independent of air temperature. The choice follows flow rate, usage profile and site climate.
Is filling and storage facility installation inside your certified scope?
Yes. Our ISO 9001 scope covers installation of NG, LNG, CNG and LPG filling and storage facilities, feasibility and survey services, contracting and consultancy. Certificate numbers and validity dates can be verified from the certificate PDFs on this site.
Does a tank lose its vacuum over time?
Over many years the vacuum level can fall through micro-leaks at weld zones or outgassing from the insulation; the signs are rising boil-off and condensation on the outer shell. Vacuum measurement, leak detection and re-evacuation are part of our service scope.
