Service, Maintenance & Overhaul
End-to-End Service Solutions for Tanks and Pressure Vessels
Cryogenic tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and gas control systems require periodic inspection and maintenance for safe and efficient operation. At Akce Engineering, in addition to engineering, manufacturing, and installation, we offer comprehensive service, maintenance, and overhaul (repair & rehab) services that extend the service life of your field equipment. We intervene on all types of equipment regardless of brand, minimising downtime through rapid fault resolution and planned maintenance.
Our Service Scope:
- Periodic Inspection and Testing: Statutory periodic inspection of pressure vessels, hydrostatic/pneumatic testing, wall-thickness measurement, and non-destructive testing (NDT).
- Vacuum Improvement and Renewal: Vacuum measurement, leak detection, and re-evacuation of vacuum-insulated cryogenic tanks to recover insulation performance.
- Repair and Rehabilitation (Repair & Rehab): Shell, weld seam, piping, valve, and safety equipment repair; corrosion removal, repainting, and passivation.
- Field Installation and Commissioning: Tank positioning, pipe connections, pressure reduction units, and vaporizer installation with full commissioning.
- Spare Parts and Modernisation: Supply of regulators, safety valves, gauges, and instrumentation; system modernisation with automation/SCADA integration.
- 24/7 Technical Support: Emergency breakdown response and planned maintenance contracts for uninterrupted operation.
Equipment We Service:
- Cryogenic storage tanks (LIN, LOX, LAR, LCO₂, LNG)
- LPG and CNG tanks, pressure vessels, and reactors
- Atmospheric and water-bath vaporizers
- Heat exchangers and pressure reduction / metering stations

Which Equipment We Service
We work brand independently: whoever built the equipment, we inspect it, repair it and bring it back into service.
Cryogenic Storage Tanks
Vacuum measurement, leak detection and re-evacuation on LIN, LOX, LAr, LCO₂ and LNG tanks.
Pressure Vessels and Reactors
Statutory periodic inspection, hydrostatic or pneumatic testing, thickness measurement and non-destructive examination.
Vaporisers
Performance checks, cleaning and fin or tube repair on atmospheric and water bath vaporisers.
Pressure Reduction and Metering Stations
Regulator, relief valve and meter maintenance; recommissioning after adjustment and calibration.
Pipework and Spools
Weld seam repair, line replacement, passivation and hydrotesting.
Safety Equipment Renewal
Relief valve, rupture disc and gauge replacement; renewal of equipment that has reached its term.
Automation and SCADA Upgrades
Adding remote monitoring, alarms and data logging to an existing system so the plant becomes visible.
Repair and Rehabilitation
Shell, weld and corrosion repair; returning equipment to safe service.
Site Installation and Commissioning
Tank placement, pipe connections and first start-up; reinstallation at relocated plants.
Service Scope and Methods
Maintenance and repair sit inside our ISO 9001 certified activity scope. Every intervention is recorded through an inspection report and a service form.
What Buyers Ask Before a Quote
The questions purchasing and technical teams ask most often about the equipment on this page.
Do you service equipment built by another company?
Yes, we work brand independently. We intervene on cryogenic tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, vaporisers and gas control equipment regardless of who manufactured them.
How often should periodic inspection be carried out?
The interval and scope follow the equipment type and the applicable regulation. Send the equipment type, the installation year and the date of the last inspection and we will set out the inspection plan and, if needed, the overhaul scope with you.
How do I tell that a tank has lost vacuum?
The clearest signs are condensation or icing on the outer shell, rising boil-off and pressure climbing faster than expected. On those signs we measure the vacuum, move to leak detection and recommend either re-evacuation or repair.
Do you offer emergency response?
We offer emergency breakdown response and planned maintenance contracts. Planned maintenance puts the downtime in the calendar in advance, which cuts production loss markedly compared with an emergency call-out.
Is a report issued after service?
Every intervention is recorded through an inspection and examination report and a service form. The tests performed, measurement results and replaced parts appear in the report and serve as the reference for the next periodic inspection.
Does equipment on your site need an inspection?
Send the equipment type, the installation year and the date of the last inspection; we will set out the periodic inspection plan and, if needed, the overhaul scope.
